Ok so my dfo mod is done.

Does this DFO board make it NTSC with 60Hz for all disc images, or does it detect PAL disc images and set 50Hz for those?

I’m also curious how Picostation handles games where the disc dump have one cue file but several bin files (e.g. audio tracks). Assuming those games have to be converted somehow.

It will make the ntsc games to run real 60hz(and not 50) on my pal system.

I was wondering about Japanese SCPH-55XX, those are NTSC native, also the only PSX available on eBay near my region. Will the Picostation work on those?

Install looks good, especially with that 3D printed microSD slot holder, thanks for sharing.

What filesystem is recommended to use on the microSD card? You mentioned both exFAT and FAT32.

I’m testing a larger display LCD2004A (still via I2C), this one is 4 lines, 20 chars each line.

The purple bleed as seen is where the current test program is drawing the new chars. Looks very clear when viewed in person.

Isn’t it better with a custom app on the phone instead of using a browser?

I was looking into developing a custom app for Android to see if there was some way to avoid “copy & paste” but turns out the clipboard is heavily protected in Android. The only way to access the clipboard is to register the app as a keyboard handler which will probably be too much to ask of a user (kind of a hassle to change that back and forth).

Besides, a browser based solution will give the benefit if making this usable with any kind of smartphone or pad regardless of operating system, and no need to maintain several apps.
