My old Nintendo 64 (NTSC / Hong Kong region) didn’t start, black screen, turns out almost all electrolytic capacitors were bad.
This is the board with caps removed.
Here’s the board recapped. After this I replaced the old “RGB by wire mod” with a proper RGB mod board featuring a THS7374 amp and bought a SummerCart 64 which is open source:
https://summercart64.dev/The SummerCart 64 works well to load games/roms, I recommend it. Before this I used a Doctor V64jr 512mbit but it requires a compatible parallel port (EPP mode) which is hard to find these days.

My N64 with SummerCart 64.
SummerCart 64 game listing.I also had to replace the CR2032 batteries in my n64 game paks (memory cards) using a spot welder.

Not a great spot weld, the old clips are bent out of shape after removing the old battery, but it worked after I soldered it in.
